i was looking at different blogs last night and came across one where this lady had decorated her mantle with little children socks, 25 socks, one for each day of the month until Christmas day. in each sock, she put a small item or candy in it that her kids could get out on that day of december. what a precious idea. i thought it was so so cute, i had to do it. i really don't like to be a copy cat, but this time it's worth it. the only thing different is that my mantle is full already, and that there aren't 25 days left anymore and i couldn't fit 25 socks on my string. so we are just doing it purely for the cuteness of it. she also had some branches like this in a vase or pitcher with fake birds on the branches. as well as the sock idea, i thought it was very cute. kaylie and i went to target at 9:30 to get clothes pins and string, so i didn't really have time to look for any birds. so that is next on my list. may not get done this year, but next year, i will have birds.
and thanks to everyone for the christmas cards i've gotten so far, i love them!

another laughing video!
i gave will a bath in the sink saturday, and to say the least, i think he loved it. pause the playlist, so you can hear. this is kaylie making him laugh this time, spencer was gone, so of course it's not quite as good as the others, but he loves kaylie a lot and he laughs at her a lot too.
i had 3 babies all weekend long!
this weekend, kaylie and taylor brought home simulated babies from their skills for living class. it wasn't so bad until kaylie's baby started crying at 4am and she didn't hear it. i could hear it crying or should i say screaming through the baby monitor in will's room. the longer you let it cry, the louder it gets. well, it was laying right next to her and she wasn't even moving. she didn't hear that thing screaming. i was affraid it might wake will up, so i got out of bed, and woke her up and told her she better take care of her baby. it may have been crying for about an hour or so. i hope she doesn't fail her project of being a mom, but she just might!
we went over to aunt julie's on saturday. will really wanted jake's pacifier............
and he got it!!!!
will playing dress up in jake's tie! how cute is that?

Tis the Season!
we got started a little later than normal on putting our christmas tree up this year. kelli got a new tree, so i drove to ardmore on wednesday to get her old one. it's a pencil tree and that is much better than the one we've had for the past 2 years. we always had to lose a piece of furniture at christmas time for the tree to fit. now, everything fits perfect. will must have known something special was going on, he would not stay asleep. he woke up just as we got done putting the tree up and stayed up for quite a while last night. he really didn't know what to think of the tree though. he just kept grunting or growling at it, not quite sure which one. anyway, it was cute. the grapevine christmas parade was tonight, and kaylie had to go, although she wasn't too thrilled about riding in the back of a truck freezing to death. it feels like the holidays and i love it. i hope the weather stays cold like this and maybe even some snow and ice this year!
our family has now grown to 6.
will loves crackers, but doesn't know to swallow them yet. i have to go in and get them off the roof of his mouth after he's eaten a few.
kaylie after the parade, looking so cute in her santa hat.

a weekend at the farm
caroline turned 2 this past weekend and had her party at the farm. it was a lot of fun. will has been a little down in the dumps for about a week. we took him to the doctor today and he has something like rsv . he is real congested and coughing pretty bad. hopefully the medicine they gave him will start working quickly. on sunday, will turned 7 months old. i cannot believe it. he is getting so big. i hope everyone has a wonderful thanksgiving, and enjoys their families. i know we will!

is getting a christmas card really worth all this?
i was trying to take some pictures of kaylie and will for my christmas card this year. for some reason, will didn't want to smile in any of them. not even one. i had taken some last week that are really pretty good, but i was just trying one more time to see if i could get any better ones. kaylie did good and will's are kind of funny to me that's why i am putting some of them on here. he was fed up by the time i was done.
no more pictures, please!

this morning will & i were playing around and he was in the best mood, so i decided it would be a good day to take some pictures. (like everyday) anyway, the one in the plaid shirt is spencer's identical twin to me. i really haven't seen how much he looks like spencer although everyone tells me that everyday, but i saw it today. just wanted to post some of them.
throw em in the pan!!!!

not too much has been going on this week. except kaylie forgetting that she had a major project due this morning and told us about it at 5pm yesterday. she had to pick a historical fiction novel, read it throughout this 6 weeks, and then make a playbill for it. she says, it was explained to the class while we were in new york. but then, she showed me a paper that i signed on october 16th, acknowledging the assignment and that i understood. i guess i should read things before i sign them. i had no idea. anyway, we did finish, although it took us until 2am. thank goodness for the playbill we had from legally blonde or i would have been completely lost. i don't know if we did a great job but i'd say we did an okay job for not reading the book, and starting less than 12 hours before the thing was due. when she gets it back, i am going to take pictures of it and post. we were a little short on supplies and it may look a bit like a 3rd grader did it. but at least we're done.
i kept jake for a while last night and he and will were so good. it is really funny to me that at 6 and 7 months old, they already want what the other has. jake wanted will's toys and will wanted what jake had. in the end, jake won. he had almost all the toys in his lap, beside him, and behind him. poor will just sat there chewing on the one toy jake wasn't able to get. later, when i was holding both of them, will reached out and grabbed jake's pacifier from his mouth and put it in his mouth. i guess that was his way of getting back.

another busy week & now we're home alone.......
well, not really home alone, but spencer left tonight for the whole weekend to go hunting. i hate it when he is gone. there is just something missing when he isn't here. i'm guessing the rest of november and december will be like this. he, his dad, and 2 brother in laws got deer lease this season. i'm happy for him to be able to get away and have fun, but we miss him real bad when he is gone.
aunt julie came over today and we tried to take a few pictures of will and jake in their halloween costumes. she got way more cute ones than i did because i was having to stand behind her and do crazy little dances and songs to make them smile.
will & jake watching t.v.
i tried this on will earlier in the week and took pictures just to make sure he liked his costume. aunt kelli says he needs a t-shirt on under it, so tomorrow night when he's trick or treating, he will have on a t-shirt so his arms won't get cold!
kaylie had mix match day at school this week for drug week or something, so this is how she went to school on wednesday. crazy as usual.
i kept will awake so spencer could see him before he left. he has been so tired the last 2 nights that he is delirious. he has been dying laughing at me saying quack quack and spencer spitting will's passy out at him. i have the best one on video and have put it on here. you will have to pause the playlist to be able to hear how hilarious it is. the funniest thing to me is that he never stops jumping!!!!
